Our Story

Mitchell and Ilana met in Santa Cruz in 2019, and immediately bonded over their common interests in health and fitness. Ilana was working in child care at YMCA Camp Campbell, and Mitchell was getting ready to transfer from Cabrillo College to SF State University to pursue his bachelor's degree in kinesiology. Mitchell was also working his first personal training job at 24 Hour Fitness. When Mitchell moved up to San Francisco, he also worked at the Mashouf Wellness Center until COVID hit.

In 2020, Ilana left her job at Camp Campbell to pursue athletic training, and Mitchell graduated from SF State University in 2021. In 2021 both of them moved down to Long Beach for Ilana to start her master's degree in athletic training, where she discovered that she would rather pursue personal training instead. Mitchell had the opportunity to work at the Belmont Athletic Club while they lived down there. In 2022, the pair moved back up to Santa Cruz to be near family and immediately started jobs at local gyms. Within the year, both of them ended up working at Toadal Fitness on the Westside of Santa Cruz.

In 2024, Mitchell and Ilana created the Infinite Motion App to help more people beyond Santa Cruz. This app offers programs and workouts for every level of fitness, with exercise demonstrations done by them. In addition, Mitchell and Ilana started putting out free content on social media and Youtube.

Exercise has been a big part of Ilana's life since she was a child. She was always extremely energetic growing up, and her parents put her in a myriad of sports to keep her active and busy.

Her athletic background mostly includes track and field and cross country, which she participated in throughout middle school and high school.

She has a background in the science of human movement (kinesiology). She earned her B.S. in kinesiology from the University of San Francisco in 2018, and she is always trying to keep up to date with new scientific studies in the exercise and fitness realms.

After she graduated from college, she ended up tearing her ACL from a bouldering accident. She used this experience to get stronger and made it her goal to put on more muscle and gain more strength than she originally had before her accident. This propelled her into the world of weightlifting, which she has been actively learning since 2019.

In 2024, Ilana received her Pregnancy and Postpartum Athleticism Coaching certification in order to be able to better serve the female population during these seasons of life.

"I don’t believe there’s a one-size-fits-all routine when it comes to working out. I am someone who is passionate about individualizing exercise and fitness routines for each person that I work with. My instinct is that you have to love what you're doing in order to stick with it, and so far, this has proven to be true."

I want to show you how to do the same so that you can become the most elite version of yourself!"
